Designers at the University of Leeds have developed a washing machine which uses just a cup full of water whilst leaving clothes as clean as normal washing. The technology, which uses plastic granules rather than water, can cut water consumption by 98%.
A pretty interesting development which, regardless of cost of each usable unit, will without doubt be an excellent investment, especially with ongoing rumours that water prices are going to dramatically rise right across Europe to make us more careful with this precious liquid.
Not quite sure who these plastic granules will get out of the middle of your clothes but all will be revealed one day !
