We have recently returned from a stint in Italy.
The apartment that we rented, although not new, had been immaculately refurbished.
The en suite shower room was top quality.
Although not a WET ROOM, it was pretty close. A very large wal in facility.
There were three option.....

The normal hand held spray, jets from the sides and a very large overhead "torrent". It was about 12 inches across, amazing thing.

I fell in love with it straight away.

The apartment in which we currently reside was built in the 30s. A pretty standard design. Two bedrooms and one family bathroom.

Unfortunately, I would not get permission to convert it to a shower room. The design of the property is just not suitable and I do not fancy moving again.

However, whenever we are staying away I shall certainly be looking for luxury shower facilities again.

So, what are you? A traditional Friday night bath person or a more modern shower several times a day type.

Showers all the time for us. Sometimes in winter it's nice to have a bath, to warm the bones, so to speak.

Much prefer to have a shower - never been a wallow in the bath person....
Hubby prefers a bath but sadly (for him) he's stuck with a shower in our new house. Although we did extend the bathroom wall by a couple of foot into the hallways so we could put a much bigger shower in so as not to lose any space in the bathroom itself.

Agreed about showers being the better option. I am going to miss my Italian luxury!

I think I may grt an architect friend to relook at my bathroom. There may be a way he can make the changes necessary.

Hi Neil, hope you're ok, couldn't make it in early June due to medical problems but hope to be with you in September.
In the Army it was "3 minutes" to take a shower during training.
