The main carnival parade will take place on Saturday at 3pm, starting from outside the Almyra hotel and heading along Poseidonos Avenue which runs parallel to the seafront, finishing up at the car park close to the archaeological park.
The municipality’s carnival theme this year is Africa and the carnival Queen will depict that, Mais said.

Following the parade, the queen’s escorts from the Jake Athanasiades dance school will host a party for everyone that wishes to attend, in the open air area close to Ta Bania in Kato Paphos, she said.

Ahead of the grand parade, Poseidonos Avenue and the surrounding roads in Kato Paphos will be closed to traffic from around midday.
