Please all stick to hands, face, space , ventilate
Numbers are growing daily...stick to your own bubbles!

Many people are out dancing, partying, sharing buffets
Great way to be before covid times

But not right now
As cases numbers grow ...787 new covid numbers today ...hospital numbers also growing

Stay safe all even if vaccinated
no vaccination is 100%

That is very true migmogs. Several of our neighbours have had covid and in fact we were pinged by the NHS app because we had been too close to one and we had to isolate for 8 days - not easy when you have two dogs!!
One set of neighbours who had covid, she had only had the first jab, he had had both, she was quite poorly for a week and has only just got her sense of smell and taste back. He was unwell for just a day. The other neighbours had had both jabs but only a few days before they caught covid. They were both quite poorly for about a week. Our other neighbours in their late 80's had had both jabs and did not catch it from their daughter so you just don't know. Certainly when restrictions are lifted here in the UK we will still wear our masks in shops etc.

I find it amazing that you can 'potty train' a toddler in a few weeks yet after nearly 2 years some 'adults' can't follow a few simple rules on how to wear a mask properly.
I am seeing a huge number of people very day either not wearing a mask; not wearing it properly, not sanitizing their hands and not distancing.
To all these people (who will be the first to complain) thanks for the next lock down :tickedoff

There were at least 2 large beach parties last weekend without any social distancing etc or measures being implemented so that sort of thing will be the cause of a rise in numbers pretty soon.
The disregard for the regulations and vaccinating is sheer madness, although I have my doubts about the efficiency of the 'negative' tests of people coming here as the numbers were decreasing and under control BEFORE the Govt opened the place to tourists again!

I agree DD ...everything has been flown in globally
IF flights from China had been stopped right at the beginning ...we would not now be in a global pandemic!

What though is going to happen to uk flights?

When the uk government has decided now to go for herd immunity ..because a great amount have now been vaccinated ....numbers from the 19th June are set to rise they say within weeks to 100,000 plus cases per day as they let the virus go wild throughout every community! A risky strategy...things can go either way ...hospitals and deaths remain low as immunity is built nationwide ...or hospitals become over run ...only time will tell.
And what about those with mild symptoms who go on to get long covid illness?

Either way ...we all have to learn how to live with this virus

But will all flights from the uk then be stopped as immunity in the uk is being built up?

993 cases today Cyprus are now worse than the UK, have gone into the deep red zone with the EU and only a matter of time before they go red with the UK and then it is very expensive hotel quarantine.

Goodness knows where this will end! Stay safe all
