Apparently a town in the US has rejected planning permission for a Solar Energy Farm on the grounds of risks which I confess I wasn't even aware of.

Apparently, not only do they suck up all of the energy from the sun [as you might have gathered from the URL] but they also prevent surrounding plants from photosynthesizing properly, and it hasn't even been proven that they don't cause cancer!

Good job someone is on the ball, otherwise we'd all be completely ignorant of these facts!

It's pure idealistic non-scientifically based oppose.

Well this is what I think,
the sun light collected left the sun a long time ago and will have no effect on the sun.
I admit the solar panels could reflect some of the uv light causing local ( within 100m) burning of plants, well just maybe?
bussinesses wont come??? the panels look ugly , yea guess they do.
cause cancer???? hope in this village they have banned microwave ovens and there are no mobile phone transmittion towers or mobile phones, dont forget no WIFI, which means no routers, no tablets or laptops !!!
Hang on.......is this a Amish village.
