Many thanks,

I always use Marangos garage. They are behind the Pizza Hut takeaway as you go from Paphos to Chlorakas on the top road (not the cost road).

Been using them for over 20 years and always been happy. Nicos is the best English speaker.

They used to run their own rally cars and Andros (Nicos' brother) used to work for a major rally team, so they know what they are doing.

I would imagine overload oil if I smell it's burning...
You would leally need to check the stick, perhaps it's cut somehow :p

There are a few ways that an engine can smell of oil

Too much oil in the engine.

Air blow bye the pistons.

This is when there is air passing the pistons it to the crank case and the vapours of oil are sucked in to the cylinders by the crank case ventilation system.

Make sure the positive crank case pipe is not damaged.

Oil in the cylinder when you start the car.

This can happen when the valve stem oil seal is damaged this allows oil to run down the valve stem in to the cylinder over night and you get smoke when you start the car next morning.

Sometimes oil can come up past the piston but very rare as blow by can stop this happening.
