We went for our appointment this morning. Had all the copies and originals as per the list. Also copies of other proof as well-just in case. So smooth and no worry or stress.The staff were so helpful as well
We paid the required €20.00 each and that was it. They took the photo - job done.

We did it all our self's No Agent and so it cost us nowt!

ditto, same as us, easy peasy, last September for us, 20€s each as well.

But why bother? All aliens will be having to apply for and obtain a new style residence document soon, so we were told by the Migration Dept.
Just the same for us Israelis, all aliens; you Brits will be aliens when you leave the European Union.
MEU1s and MEU3s are for EU Citizens, not for aliens.

The reason is simple. The MEU-1 gives the right to live here. The MEU-£ gives the right to PERMANENT residency. Also there is a NRW ID card that will be exchanged for all those who have the MEU-3. Those that do not have the MEU-3 will have to go through an extensive programme to prove themselfs for permanent residency. (this info given to me at the immigration dept.)

You said you went to the immigration in September can I ask have you received it yet as we went in September too?
Friends of ours who went in October have got theirs, we are still waiting.

Well €20 each for an MEU3 or MEU2, plus however much more for the new "ID" card.
Or just the however much for the new "ID" card.
I mean why pay twice?
