Hi Jeepster,

This is technically possible given the existing legislation, but I have yet to hear of this being actioned.
Suggest if this is urgent, you consult with a lawyer to contend the situation.

Acting on heresay is not the way forward, what's expounded in a bar should be allotted the credibility it diserves!
:cheers

The committee of our complex received a letter from the municipality last week giving them 4 weeks to comply with the regulations, including having a lifeguard within the next four weeks or the pool will have to be closed. So many regulations that have to be adhered to in order for the pool to remain open.

A few pools on complexes in Paphos were closed in 2019 as they cannot meet the criteria regarding the lifeguard.

I am aware of closures both by authority and by lack of maintenance by committees/developers etc when fees are not paid.

I have no doubt that once the registration process for rental properties kicks in an inspections are made there will be more.

The purpose of having a committee/management team is to stay ahead or abreast of the legislation.

Just out of interest is your complex in main Paphos Town area or in an outlying village?

It is in Chloraka which is why I was surprised a letter has been received because until now I thought it was just restricted to Paphos Municipality.

I'm sure I read some articles last year that complexes managed by Blue Orange had to close their pools.

Also closure of pools discussed on this forum: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=34249
