Paphos People

It has been years since the Paphos Limassol highway was diverted onto the motorway near to Petra Tou Romiou because of the road collapse. In case it has not been reported elsewhere, the repairs are now completed and the road is open again.

Oh - Just for a moment I thought that you meant Ellados Avenue, or St Pauls hill or the road from the Highway down to Geroskipou or the road to Peyia or 'Butcher Boy' road.

Quite a chunk of Ellados Avenue is done now, including the installation of several sets of traffic lights and, going down the road you can go straight on at big Paps, round the new roundabout.

Good to hear about Aphrodite's Rock though.

That is indeed good news, Graham. I live right on the doorstep of this picturesque back road into Pissouri, yet so far have not ventured on it. I need to, but I guess have got so used to now using the highway.

Very nice drive, quiet still and a nice run down to Limassol the whole way.

I went to Limassol about two weeks ago and it was still closed, but when I went again last Wednesday I noticed there was no diversion sign at Pissouri so thought I would chance it. It's a much nicer drive than using the motorway.

I used to work a fair bit in Pissouri , so on the way to work i took motorway to get there quickly but on the way home it was into paps to buy a drink, crisps , choclate and then potter back to paphos enjoying the coast road .
