Just read an article in the Cyprus post, seems parliament has passed a bill to require during school hours for pupils to have their phones switched off , I am all for this ! Opponents argue there is no reason pupils should not have their phone switched on providing they use it responsibly, they are kids that is an unreasonable expectation ,It's unreasonable even with adukts at work. If pupils do have their phone on them how will you police them being turned off ? I see the only way to do it is to not allow phones to be carried on their person and to be stored in a locked compartment. Some people argue what if there is an emergency ? The school has many phones this is not a problem, I see this as a silly argument and has no substance.
I also think in many places of employment then your phone should be stored in your locker and only be available during breaks and lunchtime . Opponents will also argue how safe is their incredibly expensive phone when locked up,at school,or work , my answer is simple ! Don't take valuable to work or school .
