Maybe they do pete but it is GBH and that should carry custodial sentence. What if had been other way around.

Can't see how this will be brushed under carpet.

If it had been the other way round, there would have been a gang of Cypriots out looking for revenge

Its the same if you have a bump in your car over here, if you leave your vehicle to get assistance, you'll return to the scene to find the cars have been moved to make it look like it was your fault :? I know this, as it happened to a friend of mine when we were stationed here

I lived down that end of the island for many years,
I can tell you this, its like the wild west down there..
I kid you not ...
The mentality of the locals down that end is beyond belife.
forget reporting things to the police, they shruge there shoulders and look at you like you are a fool.
I saw a brit being chased out of a bar by the owner
who had a shot gun and fired it into the air..
the police never even came...

I take my hat off to that man, but unless he can attract international attention, he is on a loser...

I read about the other case he had for assualt by the same guys..

The guys who attacked him had there lawyer phone him a week before the trial to tell him that they were not ready to proceed.
they are asking for an adjournment .. so dont waste your money coming over for the case..

Then on the court day, they said yes we wish to proceed.
but the other guy (who had been assulted) has not turned up..
the judge dismissed the case ...
