Paphos People

For all the environmentally aware Paphos People out there, found this online calculator for working out your own Carbon footprint:

Worked mine out for my household, and it came to 1.92 tonnes per annum. Apparently the UK national average is 10.2 tonnes a year so i reckon I'm doing pretty well!

Your CO2 Result for your appliances is 1.22 tonnes per year.

Your CO2 Result for your travel is 5.1 tonnes per year.

Your CO2 result is 20 tonnes per year

It must be something to with the 36 lights in the house, no insulation, driving a 2.5ltr 4x4 Truck, only having a wood burner etc etc....

Not really, I just counted them as I was filling in the questionaire

12 of those are outside lights, so does that count

I think if we switched all out lights on in our villa, we'd burn a hole in the ozone layer and that number is probably half the amount of light switches we have in the house, we have switches to switch off other switches, 3 different fuse boxes

And guess what? our house is only on single phase electric

Well it isn't a massively complicated calculation if you know how many rooms you have, unless of course your pad is so palatial you wouldn't be able to get from one end to the other without losing count??
